Application Research & Completion
- Does your teenager use a smartwatch? Smartphone?
- Does you high schooler use any of these “smart” devices to manage their calendar? Take notes?
- The first couple of sessions are spent helping them schedule 8-12 weeks worth of sessions in concert with their school coursework, part time job, community activities, social life, etc.
- Stronger organizational skills positively impact the research and completion process. Have you tried getting a high schooler to sit down each week at the same time and complete various tasks? It takes tenacity and grace!
Spending the first 2-4 sessions researching programs is key. It helps when students know if they are interested in college, trades or the armed forces.
Applying to colleges directly is time consuming and requires structure, discipline and accountability. Weekly video sessions provide the needed accountability to keep the pace. It’s so gratifying in the end!
